Develop Rugby

Develop-Rugby has been developed for the use by rugby Coaches at all levels of the game, from Juniors to Seniors. If your stuck for ideas regarding rugby training sessions or even rugby game plays this site will help you.

Our Aim :
"To provide a selection of rugby drills / activities that will enable you as Coaches to keep your audience focused and interested."

Featuring with each rugby animated drill / play will be it's Objective, Equipment Needed, Key Factors / Coaching Points and a clear Explanation.

We have categorised the site into the following sections; Rugby Handling, Rugby Contact, Rugby Defence, Rugby Kicking, Rugby Attack and Rugby Games. Each section is viewable to the public but to gain access to each drill / play you will need to register and become a member.

Our database of drills / plays will be updated weekly with up to date initiatives that will enable you as a Coach to provide challenging sessions.

Currently we have 150+ animations. Each section will be updated weekly and we aim to have 300+ animations fully explained by December 2010.

Payment is received through Pay Pal. If you would like to pay via EFT (electronic fund transfer) please email us at : info@develop-rugby.co.uk for further details. Once we have received funds we will then forward you your user name and password.

Drill of the Month

Free Drill / Play of the Month - March 2010

Contact Drill - Ruck / Maul Square

Four player attacking and four players defending holding shields.The attacking players work from one contact point to another, either in a set pattern or randomly. Ball carrier hits one contact point and two players clean area. Ball is produced to third player who picks and hits the next contact point.This drill can be adapted to work within a fixed number of contact points or to a set time.
