Backs Moves : 9 to 12, back to 10 Double Arrow

Attack Explanation:

12 receives the ball from 9 and returns the ball back to 10.

13 and 15 run  Blocker lines (pass goes behind backs).

10 passes ball behind the back of 13 and 15 to blind wing (11 above)

11 must scan defensive line to see if there are any weaknesses. He / She either offloads to 15 or hits a weakness.

This move is best utilized from a Scrum or in Open play.

Objective:

To cut the defensive line by using a Blocker to attract defenders.

 

Key Factors / Coaching Points:

- Angles of running.
- Timing of pass.
- Timing of running.
- Communication from ball carrier and non ball carriers.
- Pass Accuracy.
- Receive ball at pace.
- Attack weaknesses in defensive line, use of good footwork.
- Work off the ball. (Follow pass)
- Good use of footwork before contact
